DEAR FRIENDS OF THE CHORUS:
Please consider making a donation to The All-American Boys Chorus Annual Fund. You may do so online, securely, by clicking the DONATE button below.
Most important, your gift will ensure that any boy with the desire to learn, the willingness to work hard and the support of his parents can receive the valuable benefits of our highly acclaimed program of leadership training and vocal excellence.
· 285 rehearsals, 78 voice instructions, and a seven-day resident training camp for our cadre of 120 boys.
· The ability to travel and perform 60 concerts in Southern California, 12 concerts in Oregon, Washington and Canada, and eight concerts in the Midwest USA.
· Superb staff members, whose wonderful example, dedication and expertise instill in each youngster a sense of personal responsibility, commitment to excellence, kindness to one another and high moral standards.
· Outstanding voice coaches and four excellent music teachers to instruct our students in the fine points of vocal performance and in the international language of music.
And the results? Since our inception in 1970, our program has been forming a new generation of leaders. These new leaders—over 1,000 alumni to date—are already at work helping shape the future of our nation.
Our concerts have reached millions of people in every continent via television and radio broadcasts. Our boys have represented America and performed to standing ovations all over the world, including Russia, Romania, Austria, Italy, Switzerland and Germany in Europe; the eight largest cities of Japan; and most recently in Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, and China. There have also been 42 concert tours to
The Chorus has also teamed with Opera Pacific for productions of Otello, Tosca, I. Pagliacci, Carmina Burana and Carmen; collaborated with the Pacific Symphony Orchestra on Peter Pan and with the Los Angeles Philharmonic on Mahler’s 8th Symphony; and appeared with Presidents, governors, statesmen and celebrities.
The All-American Boys Chorus works . . . spectacularly so! Boys of all races, faiths and economic backgrounds are enrolled in our program. They reflect a rich diversity of cultures, thereby instilling ethnic harmony and cultural respect.
Our leadership training focuses on individual growth and development. Mentoring is a key facet of our curriculum. Older boys (already experienced veterans at 12 years of age), eagerly vie to be selected to mentor and befriend our new “recruits.”
Clearly our boys are doing good work! They learn from the “get-go” that success in life is directly related to detailed, intense preparation, and they make a real commitment to serve their community.
And yet, try as we might, we can’t do it alone. We need you to respond today. Please help us maintain and extend our leadership training to even more deserving youngsters.
Your donation will help us meet our budget—our most important priority.
Once we accomplish that critical goal, additional funds will be allocated to . . .
· New choral arrangements.
· Replacing our 21-year-old concert audio and lighting equipment.
· Provide tuition assistance to deserving boys.
Please know that your gift is vital and will make a difference in maintaining the excellence of our program.
Sincerely,
Anthony S. Manrique, Executive Director
P.S. Your tax-deductible gift will be acknowledged immediately and used very carefully. It will serve as a tremendous vote of confidence for our entire team. It will be a catalyst for us to forge ahead in our efforts to develop one of our nation’s premier musical institutions amidst a philosophy that emphasizes happy, motivated, self-discipline.
